Welcome to the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit 35, a member Unit of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Pacific.

The Mission of Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit 35, Victoria is to provide 24-hour year-round volunteer marine search and rescue services on the Victoria waterfront and beyond to help prevent the loss of life or injury.

Our Unit:

  • Maintains a 24 hour a day, 365 days per year search and rescue readiness along the Victoria waterfront, and nearby municipalities.
  • Responds to an average 70 calls per year.
  • Promotes boating safety, including programs designed to increase water safety awareness among children.
  • Recruits volunteer search and rescue crews.
  • Provides ongoing training to volunteers in search and rescue techniques, navigation safety, seamanship, communications, and first aid.

Administrative and fundraising support for Unit 35 is provided by the Victoria Marine Rescue Society.
